Lambityeco, Oaxaca

Jump to: navigation, search

The Lambityeco ruins are about 4 kilometers (2 miles) past the Teotitlán exit, on the south side of highway 190, the exit well marked. From the city of Oaxaca, take any east-bound colectivo (Mex$15) originating from the sitio southeast of the Abastos market or bus departing from the main second-class bus station north of the Abastos market traveling along Highway 190 and going as far as Tlacolula or Mitla. These same colectivos and second-class buses can be flagged down at the northeast corner of the baseball stadium (De Los Derechos Humanos and Eduardo Vasconcelos) and pass through Santa María del Tule and can be taken from the traffic light on the main road, Benito Juarez. To return to Oaxaca or Santa María del Tule, cross to the north side of highway and walk 200 meters east (to the right) to the bus stop, marked by a small blue sign. There, flag down a west-bound colectivo or bus. The ruins are open daily from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. The cost is Mex$35.
